Joseph and I landed at Heathrow International Airport yesterday morning around 10:00am and made our way by underground to Camden Town. There, we had a pint each at Camden Town Brewery (a newly favorite beer maker) as we waited for our host to bring us the keys to our temporary home (a fifth floor condo overlooking a small park).
We settled in, took a nap and hit the town. We spent the evening weaving in and out of the different bars and restaurants along Camden Town Road, and danced the night away at 'The Electric Ballroom' to bands like Fallout Boy, Sum41 and Blink182.
The next morning, Joseph got an early start to the day. He drank espresso, worked out and awoke me with a kiss. We got ready and made our way out the door. We walked hand-in-hand up the hilly roadside, making our way to the top of Primrose Hill. There, we overlooked the London skyline and shared a peaceful moment.
As we walked beneath the trees, making our way down the hill, suddenly, a small dog appeared running between the trees of which Joseph suggested I capture a photo. Agreeing with him, I reached into my bag and searched for my camera. I pulled it out and raised it up to take the photo, but was surprised to see Joseph kneeling on one knee.
Presenting a beautiful ring he asked, "Angela, will you marry me?"
Overjoyed, I told him "of course!"
Several kisses later, we finished our way down the hill and celebrated over a beautiful brunch served by Greenbury and drank Prosecco. The rest of the day was a happy occasion as we explored "The Last Days of Shoreditch" (an electric music festival with a mini golf course) and we ended our evening at Camden Comedy Club filled with laughter.
We are now spending the afternoon recovering from our many libations and celebrations. We cannot wait to see you all when we return and share the joyous occasion of our engagement.
Cheers,
